Diaspora Community Services,
an organization founded to serve the large Haitian
population in Brooklyn, we founded Centre Medico
Social in Port au Prince, Haitian in 2007.
Centre Medico Social serves more than 300
individuals per month. Patients come for medical care
because poverty and hunger are excessive, even in
normal conditions, and our programs and services
have become a stable and effective resource.
We are supporting the search and rescue operations in
Haiti now and are particularly focused on long-term
planning to rebuild Centre Medico in Port au Princ
