Skill Offered:
Extensive (35 years) experience in hi- and low-tech water and wastewater treatment, recently retired from US National Park Service. Have done previous projects in third world. Backpacking and mountaineering experience. Have worked with wide range of treatment options including composting, dehydrating, vault and pit toilets.
Looking for volunteer deployment of 1-2 months, with probability of returning in the future. I have a lot of experience in living in remote areas and living out of a backpack. I'm an active volunteer with American Red Cross, among others, but am learning that it takes a long time to qualify for international assignments. I speak fair Spanish and a little French.
