Volunteers needed for rehab teams october 2011 trip to haiti

PRH is looking for physical therapists, prosthetists, orthotists, wound care, and fracture managment professionals for our 4th trip to Haiti. This will be a 1 week trip. PRH has treated a total of over 400 patients in 3 one week trips including buliding 35 custom lower extremity and 2 upper extremity prosthesis. Phoenix Rising for Haiti is a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team that provides complete care in one of the poorest regions of Haiti.

We restore functional mobility by providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of orthopedic conditions, including prosthetics, orthotics, physical therapy, casting and wound care.

Our goal is to create a network of sustainable rehabilitation clinics throughout rural Haiti run by local PRH trained Haitians
