Restavec Freedom Alliance
Restavec Freedom Alliance is dedicated to providing relief for the Restavek children, children who are “given” to families and used as slaves in Haiti. Our mission is to offer a safe, stable, family centered environment for these children so that each child can receive the childhood they deserve – nothing like their life as a Restavek. Each child will have access to an education, medical support, loving care, psychiatric care, and adequate food, clean water and sanitary facilities.
HaitiCorps International
Haiticorps was founded in the days following the major earthquake of January 12, 2010 that destroyed a good part of Port-au-Prince, Haiti and surrounding towns. From this devastation grew an urgency from children, grandchildren, and allies of Ayiti Toma (the Kreyòl name for Haiti) to work to restore Haiti and her proud people to their fullest potential. Haiticorps was founded to help with this tremendous undertaking through collaboration and building human capital.

Brooklyn: Dwa Fanm accepting donated goods and supplies this weekend
Wednesday, January 13,2010 - The worst earthquake in 200 years struck Haiti yesterday, causing catastrophic destruction. The quake struck near the capital of Port-au-Prince, the most densely populated part of Haiti.
This has left most of us gravely concerned about family members from whom we've received no news thus far and we fear the worst.
