Cap Haitien Health Network
The Network was formed in 2008 to help improve communication, cooperation, collaboration, and coordination among health and medical organizations and programs in northern Haiti. We now have over 60 organizations and over 60 clinics and hospitals and other health facilities in the Network. We have a ground assistance team there full time called the Network Support Team. Haitian Creole and Cultural Immersion Program
Kiskeya Guest House is pleased to announce a 2 week intensive Haitian creole and cultural immersion program in Petite-Riviere, Leogane (Haiti) on January 15-January 28, 2012. The program is geared towards health care workers, volunteers and relief workers seeking cultural competency and/or to assist in the post-earthquake reconstruction of Haiti . Participants will gain a greater understanding of the Haitian culture and learn the basics of the Haitian creole language through a combination of workshops and one to one pairing with native speakers.

Medical Mission to Leogane
Rasin Foundation has been organizing medical missions to Petite-Riviere, Leogane since February 2010. Please join us on our next mission from July 25 to August 12, 2011. We will be inaugurating our newly built earth bag medical clinic. We are looking for medical, dental and mental health professional to travel with us. Our mission is twofold:
Preventative
We renovate inadequate housing for those who are economically disadvantaged, using simple measures to reduce their vulnerability to poor health.
Treatment-based
For those already suffering from poor health, we create home-based care facilities in order to make housing central to the deliverance of suitable care.
Beyond Travel
Beyond Travel is committed to filling the skills and knowledge gaps for worthwhile community led organizations and initiatives that uphold human dignity, foster self-reliance, and build local capacity to tackle current and future problems.
